Hey there 👋
I'm Alfred Brose
Software Architect, Cloud Expert & Consultant
I'm a freelance software architect and engineer with over 15 years of experience building and improving systems across a range of industries. My work spans architecture, hands-on development, and collaboration with teams and stakeholders to build software that's not only technically solid but also meaningful and sustainable.
While my background is rooted in engineering, I care just as much about how teams work as what they build. I'm particularly drawn to projects where the human side matters — where understanding the context, the people, and the goals behind the system leads to better decisions and better results.
Technically, I lean on principles from Extreme Programming, Domain-Driven Design, and modern cloud architecture — always adapted to the situation at hand. I value fast feedback loops, high code quality, and design choices that can stand the test of time. But I don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Context matters. Teams matter. Trade-offs matter.
Colleagues and clients have described me as someone who brings clarity to complexity, communicates with care, and contributes to a positive team environment. I aim to lead by example, encourage open discussion, and create the kind of psychological safety that allows people — and systems — to thrive.
I work independently as a software architect and consultant, and I'm always open to conversations about interesting problems, projects, or ideas.
